During the web walkabout I explored the resources that were shared. Some resources, such as Edmodo, I had heard about since teachers at my school currently use it. I was familiar with Discovery Education because I have used the streaming feature for educational videos. I’ve also used Khan Academy when tutoring students with math.
Students should be taught to collect tools and resources from reputable and trustworthy sites. Apps such as MYWOT can help with safe browsing. Furthermore students should be taught to check the domain suffix for .mil, .gov, .edu, or .org.
