About

I have always been fascinated with American Sign Language, ASL, but it wasn’t until I attended high school with Deaf students that I was able to study their language and learn my calling to work with the Deaf. After earning my Bachelor of Arts in Deaf Education from Michigan State University, I began teaching Deaf and Hard of Hearing students at my former high school. Since then I have earned my Master of Arts in Deaf Education, also from Michigan State University, earned my ASL teacher certification, and earned my licensure in Educational Interpreting all while teaching Deaf and Hard of Hearing students full time in Georgia. In addition to working with the Deaf, I have discovered a passion for working with ASL students and introducing them to the community, culture, and language I so deeply love.
